National School Breakfast Program (NSLB), National School Lunch Program, and After School Snack Program (ASSP)
Children need healthy meals to learn. Tarbiyah School offers a healthy and nutritious breakfast, lunch, and after school snack daily.
Starting 2016-17 school year, Tarbiyah School became part of the USDA’s Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). Due to this provision we have the opportunity to provide breakfast and lunch at no cost to our students. Families do not need to submit a meal benefit form for child(ren) enrolled at Tarbiyah School.
CEP was enacted as a result of the 2010 Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act and provides universal meal service to students in schools/districts that qualify.
Tarbiyah School in accordance with Federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its Agencies, offices, and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA.
The Board of Education recognizes its responsibility to keep an open means of communication to hear those individuals – students, staff, parents, and volunteers – who wish to recommend changes in established practices within the schools. Such individuals are directed to use appropriate administrative channels to voice their concerns.
